Society may, but his/her employer would likely need a copy of the doctors prescription and an 'okay' from the medical professional that the person could function adequately while taking it. Not aware of any employers that would accept a "John needs to drink a few alcoholic beverages before he comes into work to aid him in dealing with people." note, or doctor that would write one.

Studies show creativity goes up after a couple if drinks. I think America should embrace this.

I remember seeing .07 identified as the level at which one reaches (or tends to reach, on average) his "cognitive peak". Memory was actually being tested in this particular study (perhaps creativity as well; that I do not recall...I must not be at .07 just yet, heh). My anecdotal experience seems to align with this finding
