Which do you favor the most? Which can't you stand?

I picked up a case of Stohs over the weekend. Wow, I believe I detected some hops in there! I generally keep a case of the budget beers around, to help the good beer last longer. If I had it my way, I would only buy the finest of Belgian beers, but prudence prevails.

I used to enjoy PBR, but now I find it a touch too sweet for my taste. It's basically corn syrup and alcohol, with not much else going on. I believe I enjoyed Schlitz a bit, but found nothing worth buying more of. And surprisingly, I actually enjoy Miller high life. Again, there's a touch of hops, it's not too sweet, and it's very welcoming on a Sunday afternoon.

Cheap beer has it's place, and there is something to appreciate in the simple, laid back nature of these brews.

Some I do not like are Budweiser, MGD or it's cousin Mickeys. Any form of swill I will not buy. I drank enough of that in my younger days.

Pabst Blue Ribbon..Not because it's "popular", because I enjoy it. I also prefer Yeungling on tap

Yeungling is as far down the ladder as I will go. I brew most of the beer I drink, but I buy Sam Adams, Magic Hat, Shock Top, Blue Moon, and Saranac.

If I drink macrobrews its Bud Light or Busch Light.

Prefer something higher octane like a Lagunitas or Stone product.

Likewise, unless I'm at a summer family gathering and the only offering is a macrobrew. I think I've had Coors or Coors light the most out of any macrobrew out there; can't remember the last time I had a Bud or Miller product. Yuengling is the standard cheap bar beer when people go out, but even then I'd rather pay more for a non-happy hour beer than drink the macro.

Since I don't drink to get drunk, but drink instead for the taste, I don't really find much use in the macros.

Old Style, used to be brewed by G.Heilemann's but I think now it is under the Pabst umbrella. Is really good ice cold (preferably from a cooler filled with ice) in the summertime. Really don't drink any other cheap beers. Back in the day used to drink Mickey's malt liquor, but I don't know if that is a macro.

Blue Moon, New Castle, Yeungling and probably a couple I cannot think of. Basically purchased because they are the only options sometimes when out for a drink.

I cannot stand Coors, Bud, PBR, etc, I will drink a mixed drink if those are the only options.

In the summer sometimes I find that a few really cold Miller High Life's go down pretty well. I don't really consider Shiner's products macro brews. Large regionals maybe, but certainly more character than the Bud-Coors-Miller products. Former micros like Sam Adams, New Belgium and Sierra Nevada are getting so big it's no longer possible to call them micros, but that doesn't mean I don't like them. Anchor Porter is one of my all time favorites and Anchor hasn't been small for a VERY long time.
