People are stupid and simple. They love to put down things that they don't personally use/like.

Apple fans bash Android and vice versa. Ford, Chevy, and Dodge fans bash each other.

When I was a teenager, kids didn't fit in unless they wore Guess jeans and Air Jordans. The teenagers who did the criticizing back then are probably today's adults who make fun of others for not drinking the "right" beer.

I really don't care what anyone else drinks, lol
I have tried beers that other people recommended- some I liked & some were disgusting.
I never go by what's popular....
I actually don't like Corona & a few others that are pretty popular....
I tend to stick w/ the few I know I do like, if I'm having a beer or 2.
I like Amstel Light, Coors Light & Blue Moon....

Like I said I don't care what other people drink....
I also don't like red or white wine- it's disgusting.
I'd rather have a beer.

Both Amstel Light and Coors Light are pretty low on flavor, IMO, but some people must like them, or they'd not be sold.

Lol I usually only have a beer at a cookout- those 2 are usually part of the choices.
Awhile back, I went to a very cool pub though, & they had beers from all over the world.
I had a German beer (forgot the name of it) that rocked.

Most of the time, if I'm having a drink- which is getting rare,
I prefer mixed drinks.....vodka is so much better than beer.

I drink two German bock beers, Optimator and Salvator. They both are about 8% alcohol and are expensive. I drink these beers for two reasons: I like the taste and I want a quick buzz. Most people that I offer these beers to hate the taste and won't drink them. Doesn't bother me in the least, why should it?

If someone else wants to drink light beer, Bud, Coors or Pabst, why would I care? To each his own. Anyone who would give a damn about what others drink either are control freaks, insecure or have no lives. Probably all three.

Because they are expensive and you don't want to see them go to waste?

In order to illustrate what I am talking about, suppose there were threads about pies in which some flavors were looked down upon and other flavors were touted as superior? Suppose apple pie was judged "crap pie" and cherry pie was seen as cool, sophisticated, and knowledgeable?

The truth is it doesn't make one iota of difference what kind of beer other people drink. It is a non-issue. What is it about alcohol consumption that triggers all the discussion about superiority and all the sneering? Do people who drink the "in" beers believe they are more manly and more discerning? If so, that is the ultimate in childishness. It is childish to elevate one's personal taste to some sort of standard.

Some one who feels good about himself by looking down at a drinker of Budweiser needs to get a life and probably get some counseling as well.
They aren't looking down on the drinker of Budweiser, they are looking down on Budweiser.

Truth is, certain craft beers are better beers. They just are. The mass produced Budweiser and the like are not good beers... if you are into beer. Sure, you personally might like the taste, but don't act like it is more than what it actually is.

I don't look down on anyone for liking the cheap mass produced stuff, but if they make a claim that it is BETTER than say... Hopyard IPA from Rockyard or Cacao Bender from Surly Brewing... then it is obvious that they are not a beer aficionado and they are just trying to elevate themselves above based on their tastes for cheap watered down beer.

Would you say a Swisher Sweet is on par with a hand-rolled Cuban cigar?

This post doesn't make sense.

Dodge vs. Chevy vs. Ford is like Coors vs. Budweiser vs. Miller.

People who drink craft beers and refuse to drink the swill are kinda like people who drive BMW's, Audi's, Cadillac, etc... They would argue that their car has better build quality and more care into production, and in general, they would be right.

It is funny how people who buy low quality products sneer at the people who choose to spend more for higher quality and call them names... If the person who bought a higher quality product defends their choice by pointing out the benefits of the higher quality product, they are a snob.
