I have migraine headaches regularly, and I have noticed that on the rare occasions I drink wine, I get a migraine. I don't usually drink red wine; only whites or Zinnies. It's not a hangover either, because I only drink two glasses max (usually one). I read online that it's not sulfites because they don't cause headaches. Any opinions?

I've been told in tasting rooms before that there are people who get wine-induced headaches. Some people are just dehydrated. Others react to the tannins, sugar, and histamines in wine. Because you are getting headaches from white wine, I suspect tannins are not your problem. If you are drinking cheap wine, it probably is loaded up with sugars, which would be a likely culprit. Try drinking dry white wines (Chardonnay, dry Riesling, dry Gewurtzaminer, Viognier, etc.), and step up a little bit in price range (no Sutter Home, Carlo Rossi, or Gallo discount brands). Alternatively, try taking allergy medicine when you drink wine (check the label for any conflicts). If it's better, then histamines are probably your problem.
