You are the customer. The customer is always right.

If the Bar-tender can't or wont make your drink, go somewhere else

The customer is not always right, but in this case, the customer is not wrong.

That said, you should know what sort of place you are in. Craft cocktail bar? Order that flip or muddled drink. Dive after a ballgame gets out? Maybe don't ask for something that involves a blender.

Of course you do. Those items are on the menu for a reason, and it's not just to fill out the menu or make it look like a classy place. The business wants to sell product. And probably those cocktails bring in more money than a beer, so someone ordering several of those would be the preferred customer.

I remember I took my son who was home from college and his buddy out for pizza a few years back and his friend had just turned 21 a few days before...my son orders a Blue Moon..I order a Corona and his friend orders a Red Headed $lut.....I was like WHAAAAYT? The waitress just asked for his ID and shook her head....I still laugh about that one...

A redheaded **** isn't a complicated drink, just a very sweet "kiddie cocktail". 21 year olds don't tend to have the most sophisticated of palates...
