I just opened one from a 9-pac with the can labeled: Limited Summer 2020 Edition. The beer has a weird, and somewhat unpleasant taste. Anyone else encounter this?

Every sip of Coors Light I've ever taken tasted like alka seltzer.
Hmm, haven’t noticed. Coors Lite is my preferred beer, thoroughly chilled of course. The 16 oz. is usually too much tho, and I end up leaving too much behind. Can’t do much with flat beer (other than water the garden ).

I drink around a 6-pack ever day, and this is the first time I've encountered the funny taste. I had to quit drinking the 12oz cans because of the off-taste. I heard that they quit brewing some Coors in Golden, CO.
(You can mix leftover beer with pancake mix and make a good batter for frying. Works great on fish fillets and certain veggies.)

I’ll be honest, if there was a weird taste I’m not sure I would notice. I grew up with Hamms, Schmidt and Pabst Blue Ribbon as the local beer of choice, after all.
I’ve only cooked with beer when it’s fully carbonated, as in beer battered fish or onion rings. Not sure it would be the same with beer gone flat as I don’t care so much for the taste as the light crispy batter resulting from the carbonation.

Hopefully, I can locate some good-tasting Coors Light. Maybe I just got a bad batch.
