I like to have a T&T now and again. I found some nice tonic water (can't recall the brand name) but it comes in 12oz cans. Rather than waste any I just make a rather large drink, but the truth is I would rather have 1 or 2 regular drinks than the one big one (3 shots of gin probably puts me over the legal limit so I only have one when not going anywhere). I didn't even know there are syrups available to mix with soda water until recently.

I like Tanqueray, can anyone pass on a syrup recommendation to go with that?

Try "Jack Rudy Small Batch Tonic". It is a syrup that you mix it with club soda. It goes great with Tanqueray or Bombay Sapphire.

When I was traveling in Spain a little while back I was at a bar that specialized in cocktails and they made me a wonderful gin and tonic with Jack Rudy's Small Batch Tonic. Just a couple of weeks ago I stumbled upon it at a local supermarket for about 20 bucks for 17 ounces which will make you about 24 gin and tonics. As long as you have soda water or even a soda maker it makes a great gin and tonic. I also like the fact that you can customize the strength by adding more or less syrup.

I am glad you liked the Jack Rudy Tonic Mix. I really enjoy it, although I have never seen it in a supermarket. However, I think I only paid $12 for a bottle of it at the distillery where I purchased it.

Amazon sells it too, I will order some. The tonic water I have been using is called "Q" made with agave nectar rather than HFC or cane sugar. Makes a good T&T, looking fwd to trying Jack Rudy's...thanks for the tip. I make broaden my horizons further and try the Sapphire as well.
