I have only tasted a dozen or so, but i have to go with Woodford Reserve as my choice. A high quality Bourbon that is complex and smooth.

Maker's Mark. But there is a brand called Ancient Age (the darker label) which is very cheap if you are buying a lot and need to economize.
I don't know if you are ever in Kentucky, but if you like Woodford Reserve thay have a very nice distillery tour and serve lunch on their veranda in the nice weather. It's a nice weekend trip from Ohio.

Bourbon?

Evan Williams 23 year old - there is no substitute. You have to buy it directly from the distillery. Everything else is for cleaning your tractor parts.

Scotch?

McCallan 1926 - it's the stuff of dreams. If you find youself on death row. . .

Southern Comfort. It has a sweetness to it unlike any other I've tasted.

wow, we have quite a gamut here, do we not? Everything from super-elite bourbons that only .000001% of the population will ever sample, to something that wants to be whisky.
Having lived in bourbon country, I really like Makers Mark Reserve, what a beautiful distillery! Booker Noe's Single Barrel Bourbon is some mighty fine sippin' whisky, wish I had some right now, tractor parts be damned!
