I prefer bloody caesars. The last time I had a bloody mary was in new hampshire on my honeymoon and I did not like it. I'd like to try Ina Garten's recipe though.

I, too, love Bloody Marys. Especially ones made with Absolut vodka and with lots of garnish including celery, olive, pearl onion, lime, a slice of chorizo and whatever else might be on hand.

I had Bloody Marys with my breakfast a few mornings on a recent cruise. I suspect when I retire I may do that at home from time to time.

One of my favorite restaurants has a variation called a Bloody Lucy, which is Bloody Mary mix combined with beer instead of vodka. It's mighty tasty.

Default Great garnish ideas

I also like to use a cucumber spear, just an unskinned fresh cucumber cut lengthwise, very refreshing, especially with a Bloody Caesar. I like the picante-style Clamato, just spicy enough, but can't find where I live now.

Oh, yes. Cucumbers go great with Bloody Marys.

For you horseradish fans I highly recommend the Atomic Extra Hot Brand, worth searching for. I get it at my local Fresh Market but it also seems to be readily available through the mail.

Love a good Bloody Mary! Lots of great ideas here of stuff to add into/onto the drink! I like to start with the Organic low sodium version of V-8 (forget the brand) and I like to put Old Bay along with the other ingredients in the drink as well as on the rim mixed with salt.

Also good with V-8.
I do both. :-)

The ones I made at home were really good with Spicy hot V8 and extra Tabasco among many other ingredients. I even used bacon as part of the garnish and my friends loved them.
