Yes my dad served me a recipe with it once, I think it was with gin and a decoration of rosemary branch and pomegranate seeds for Christmas.

I've never seen non alcoholic versions, thankfully.

I've had both Grimm's Super Spruce,

and Lawson's Spruce Tip IPA.

Both great.

Reportedly fights off scurvy.

Never heard of it but as kids we drank birch beer which was non-alcoholic and which came in brown bottles. So we'd walk down the alley staggering with the brown bottles, faking being drunk, just to upset the housewives looking out their windows or hanging up the wash, and then they rushed to the phone to call the cops.

Oh, the good old days. I've had plenty of birch beer, but never spruce beer.

Grimm Super Spruce was really good.
