I recommend every one try a Jägermeister at least once. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J%C3%A4germeister
Its a drink you sip for the taste,i couldnt imagine the hangover if large quantities were consumed.
And yes licorice and anise are prominent in its flavor makeup.
We always keep a small bottle of Jägermeister in our home.It has 56 herbs in it .When we feel cold in winter we once in a while have a Schnapps glass of it
Jägermeister is a herbal liqueur and includes 56 herbs, fruits, roots, and spices, including citrus peel, licorice, anise, poppy seeds, saffron, ginger, juniper berries, and ginseng. It goes through quite a lengthy process. The ingredients are filtered and stored in oak barrels for 365 days. Then there’s a series of 383 quality checks, including another round of filtering with sugar, caramel, alcohol, and water.
It was actually invented as a digestif and originally used medicinally, and even today people swear by its healing properties for easing flu symptoms from cough to sore throats.
Jägermeister makes flavorful chicken wing sauce, marinade, and even fudgy brownies. For a little inspiration, check out Chef Chris Santos' five-course, Jäger-infused dinner. https://www.thrillist.com/eat/new-yo...infused-dinner
It's the world's best-selling liqueur brand - yet, they only have 530 employees!
Interesting info, elnina! I haven't had jager in 25 years or so. It was hugely popular at parties back in the late 80s/early 90s. I know it's still popular with jager bombs.
I've had some once, and I like it, actually. It just doesn't cross my mind when I want alcohol for some reason. I don't get hangovers, so i tend to drink a lot when I can. what did dissapoint me was the LIT when I first tried it, I had two of them and not even a buzz, I don't know why people like them so much.
Jagermeister tastes like dishwater. Get your hands on some Killepitsch, same concept but much better execution.
