Stout beer......
Left Handed Milk Stout is one of my favorite Stouts.

Cheers!

There are also some stouts with coffee notes in them.
Some.liquor stores sell single bottles.
I would ask them at liquor store for what your husband likes and buy some single bottles of it first.

Some of our grocery stores have single beers that you can put together your own 6 pack. They rotate them on occasion as well. Some more often than others.

Others have mentioned to go check out some brew pubs in your area. You can get taster samples.

There's mail orders for beers around the world. I did that as a Christmas present one year for Mr C. He would get a bottle each month.

Also, there's various apps on mobile phones that are interesting and can pin point you in the direction of bars/brew pubs within 75 miles or less of where you live. Also, search by a particular beer. The one that comes to mind is called 'untappd'.

Events in your local papers may make mention of festivals, beer festivals, that is. A summer or two ago there was one in the town over from us. We went to it. There were 20 breweries from all over the states with at least 3 or 4 of their beers. You pay about 25.00 to get in. You are given 5 tokens, I believe. They had food there as well.

I keep telling my hubby he should start a beer blog. He's tasted so many but I think he hesitates because writing isn't his thing. Maybe one of these days he'll surprise me.

By the way, I like a lot of those fruity type beers too. I can take taste samples to a degree of stouts and porters, It started growing on me. Lagers and some IPA are most usually my favorites though.
