Rye (neat) for me too. I did enjoy those gin and tonics over the summer though, and there's always some brandy nearby in the cooler weather.

In liquor I tend to like distinct flavors, not necessarily the high-alcohol burning, but more herbal flavors or smokiness.

I love gin and tonics in summer, and love Hendrick's neat (when I have the money for it), so I'd say gin is my favorite overall. In colder weather I like scotch, especially peaty Islays like Laphroig. I also sometimes enjoy herbal liquors like Jagermeister (not mixed with Red Bull or other frat boy abominations!) or ouzo.

I'm a big bourbon fan

But one of my favorite "off the wall" liquors is Becherovka. It's perfect for a cold winter day.

Single malt whisky; Highlands, Islay, and/or Speyside.

I've most recently become enthralled with the fermented grape. I'm now what some folks might consider somewhat of a connoisseur of fine wines.

I also will occasionally sip a nice brandy or cognac...

Hennessey or Dusse anyone?

I don't drink, but I have had a taste or two of liquor in the past. Kahlua is the best.

Alcoholism runs in family, so I decided I better not touch the stuff. I don't miss it. And taking a chance of becoming alcoholic is not worth indulging in Kahlua or any other great tasting alcoholic beverage. I have enough problems without adding alcohol.
