At one time there was a White lightning store in Gatlinburg, Tenn. They advertised tastings. We went, I asked , how does it work, he replied try as many shots as you want. I had never tasted white lightning as I like Bourbon. I decided I would drink it just like the cowboys do in the movies. I took the first shot and just swallowed it, no sipping. That was the best feeling I have had lately. Just a nice very warm burn all the way down to about my toes. I did three and decided that was enough. Maybe the cowboys know how to drink.

Blueberry port from an upstate NY winery. I don't care for wine, prefer white over red, and now prefer blueberry over all.

WE were in Kentucky recently and went to Copper and Kings distillery, a brandy maker primarily but they also produce absinthe. The absinthe was a total surprise- no special urns or flaming sugar cube required!!

Gin Mojito served at an airport bar while waiting for a flight. Have since replicated it at home, its the perfect drink for a hot summers day.

I once picked up and drank what I thought was Orange juice. It was raw egg yolks. (long story).

That fell squarely into my "never do that again" department.
