I noticed that just about every country in Europe has a paper adhesive tax/inspection seal on the cap of their liquor bottles. Has anyone seen this in the US?

Previously, yes, but now that you mention it, it seems most "hard" booze no longer has these stamp/seals on it. At least not in Washington state.

Not sure what's up with that.

Not sure any state does anymore - they certainly used to.

Maybe the state stores in NC....but I can't remember. Be assured, if you are buying it legally, the distributor has paid the tax on it.
