Yeah, even though we have a very nice local ABC store I'm not fond of the lack of competition. I happen to like Armagnac and the last time I checked they listed none in their catalog. And even if I wanted something not normally stocked but listed in their catalog I'd have to order a case and pay up front. I'm sure they sell beer and wine, just about avery grocery also sells both, unlike some states where a liquor license can be priced like a precious metal from what I've been told a beer/wine permit here is quite inexpensive.
Another good one is Vanjak, it's made locally here near Denver (in Golden I think), and has become my go-to cheap vodka. Dangerously smooth, nothing harsh whatsoever. Because nothing says Colorado like vodka

That's interesting. I've explicitly seen people turned down (shopping on a loved one's card) from buying liquor at Costco because they weren't the cardholder/member.

I've seen the plastic gallon jugs of store brand stuff for extraordinarily low prices. If you're just going to use it in mixed drinks one brand of grain alcohol diluted with water is exactly the same as the next.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but almost all vodka in the US is sourced from a few mega distillerys like ADM(Archer Daniel Midland) including Tito's.
Tito's quickly runs it through a pot still and bottle it then say it's from Texas. The pot still does nothing. The Chuck Cowdery Blog: The Truth About Tito's and All Vodka
Sadly alot of small batch whiskey and bourbon is also sourced this way.

False. The main difference would be the hangover. The more times it is distilled, the less chance of a hangover. Of course, if you are only going to have one or two, no big deal. If you are drinking straight, it would make a difference as well.
