I was put in charge of making a "drink of the day" for Thanksgiving by my wife, and I need some ideas. We're gonna have about 18 people there, most of whom are of drinking age. I don't want anything too complicated to make, so no Mojitos or anything else labor intensive. Let's see what you got!

Uses creme de cassis, a black currant liqueur, a deep red color...and champagne.

One part creme de cassis in bottom of champagne glass, then fill with champagne. It's a beautiful drink with the dark red on the bottom, the light colored champagne on top...delicious too.

*Kir Royale cocktail*

My best friend always served this for the holidays. Drink Recipes: Brandy Slush by Recipe Cottage. Delicious and also made ahead. I love this drink and it is so easy for a crowd.

I'm trying to figure out the same thing. I'm making 2 cocktails - on with a whiskey and one with vodka or gin.

This looks like it might be good for the vodka cocktail. https://www.thekitchn.com/pitcher-dr...ocktail-225618

2 parts cranberry juice
1 part vodka
1/4 part lime juice

shake with ice in cocktail shaker and pour into a highball glass, then top with sparkling water. I throw in a couple of cranberries.

Cranberry juice with Malibu rum. The sweetness of the coconut in the Malibu rum makes up for the tartness of the cranberry juice.
