I would never taint my lips with some crap like Milwaukee Best, Budweiser, Coors Light, Corona, Heineken, and so on...

The best beer I have ever had was a beer a good friend of mine made. He made it with some smoked hops, and as strange as this sounds, it had the most delicious smoked meat/cheese flavor to it.

However, for beers from the store? Well, I just moved to Phoenix from Portland and I now realize most cities really lack a good beer selection, so I have almost quit drinking beer altogether. Still, when I am in the mood I will head to a speciality store and get myself a nice Dogfishhead, or possibly a Widmer Heffewiezen (how anyone can choose blue moon is beyond me), or maybe a nice brew from Deschutes.

When I used to live in Portland I would go to John's Market Place in Multonomah Village and try one new beer a week. I fell in love with so many that I can't even remember their names (possibly a side effect of the drinking as well )....

OH YEAH! I totally forgot, I frigging love Rogue's Brutal Bitter. Honest, nothing on this planet beats it.

Great news is that I'll be in PA this week visiting customer, so thanks to skbs I'll be able to pick some of this Pomegranate Wheat up.

Was looking for the Leinie Berry Weiss, but since that version was not available, picked up the before mentioned Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat - which is quite good!
I am so glad I was able to offer up a new idea I personally love Sam Adams Cherry Wheat... so thought I would try this one... hope you like it..

Also, if you are at a bar that has both Guinness and Cherry Wheat ON TAP, order a "Chocolate Covered Cherry"—Guinness poured over Cherry Wheat- it is really good...

Yuengling, Straub, Iron City, Abita Purple Haze. I used to enjoy Rolling rock, but since they went belly-up and sold to Budweiser it just doesn't taste the same anymore

I am a price conscious beer drinker: The current deal at my local grocery is Becks Dark. ($10.95 a 12 pack!) I have really enjoyed it. If price were no object I would buy strictly imports!

I, probably, haven't had a beer in 20 years; I prefer to sip corn!
