My favorite vodka is Grey Goose, but lately I have been buying Kettle One, definitely a better value. I like it on the rocks with just a splash of OJ or this time of year to mix it with lemonade.

You might want to visit Vodkaphiles.com Vodkaphiles a part of Russian life Magazine to see Vodka reviews by both the writers and visitors.

You would be surprised to see the ratings of many Vodka's.

I use Ru Classic, Fris, Viking Fjord, Skyy- and also Luksusowa

Interestingly enough Fris and Viking where rated higher then Grey Goose, at a fraction of the cost.

Grey Goose is extremely overrated for the price. For a good deal check out Teton Glacier Potato Vodka.

Ooo! Can't drink gin. It smells too much like perfume to me. We buy Kettle One for "good" drinks, but cheap stuff for things like frozen strawberry daiquiris (don't like rum, either, so we use vodka!) where the taste doesn't matter so much.

Free. My favorite vodkas and gins are the ones that are free.

Actually, vodka makes me ill if I have more than one drink of it. Must be a leftover thing from college and all those hairy buffalos (garbage can punch) we used to make.

Gin's claim to fame is the Juniper berries- plus other botanicals that give its flavor.

A classic Gin and tonic with lime or lemon cannot be beat on a hot summer evening-

The classic martini is always with Gin--

Try Bombay or Bombay Sapphire- or Beefeaters- Tanqueray is also great.

Gordon's and Gilbey's are more then adequate for the cost conscious.

Three Olives Vodka from England is my favorite. Very smooth and it goes nicely down cold from the freezer. By the way I'm purist when it comes to VODKA by definition should be made from wheat ONLY not from potatoes or beets or grapes. It's a bit expensive but you can get it in our local Jersey Bottle King Store 750ml for $23.99 and 1.75 L for $32.99.

Monopolowa by a mile! Made from potatoes, and smoother than any made from grain. I drink it neat with a twist over ice.
