OK, well.....since Ya'll asked.......In the W. African Nation of Nigeria, some one in government of the Cross River State had an idea, and sold it. The state bought a German Brewmeister and his staff and gave instructions of " Create for us a premium Lager Beer, cost is no object". This Brewmeister chose the town of Uyo in the Cross River State because, as he stated, after digging a 400 ft deep well, "It has perfect water". The first three German Beer Festivals this beer competed in, it won hands down. It is sold only in kegs or green pint bottles and it is the best tasting Beer I have ever had the privilege to swill. It was nameless until after its' third win, it is called "Champion" and it lives up to its' name. Both flavor and aftertaste are superb,....the effect is fairly good as well.
I agree there are so many great micobrews out there with great India pale. Now if I had to buy just one beer for the rest of my life it would be Fat Tire which of course is not IPA but amber ale, and I find it quite tasty and usually is what I keep in my fridge.
And in a year or so, when New Belgium gets their new brewery up and running, they will be making Fat Tire literally in my backyard (about 3 miles away)
If you were stuck in one city for the rest of your life and you could only drink one beer for the rest of your life...What beer could you drink for the rest of your life? I call this just for fun thread, I'm curious what the responses would be from around the us.
If I was stuck in Milwaukee for the rest of my life, I would drink Tyskie, a polish beer.
Since the answer depends on what city one happens to stumble upon, my answer depends on the city. In Bangor, Maine, I'd have to stock up on Wild Blueberry Wheat Ale to make sure it would last year round.
If I happened to find myself stuck in Portland, Maine, I'd be looking for Shipyard's Pumpkinhead.
In Boston, Sam Adams would be sending Octoberfest by the truckloads.
In update NY (Utica), Saranac would work overtime making Blueberry Blond Ale.
If I was stranded near Syracuse, I'd be trying to run Blue Dawg out of Blueberry Lager.

Well if we're doing seasonal's, Highlands Cold Mountain Winter Ale is mine. It is absurd how fast this stuff goes, barely lasting 6 weeks. Stores have tried to ration it at times, but I sweet talked a stock boy out of 10 12 packs when it first appeared last winter. Usually hits the stores in early December, and by mid January, it is gone . Not that people like me buying ever case they can find would have anything to do with that.
You are every man's dream...beautiful woman that knows good beer!
