Many wines under $10 are awesome, when properly served. My lists come with the understanding that all wines should be served at 58 degrees.

Goats Do Roam - South African Red wine, amazing out of the bottle.

McManus Merlot - I normally veer away from Merlot but this stuff is addictive. No need for a decanter on this one either.

More later..........

How about some of the Chardonnay's?

I can't really drink red wine anymore. It gives me bad heartburn, and makes me too tired.

Bogle Petite Sirah. Nice big wine with lots of jammy fruit flavors.

I second the Bogle Petit Syrah. One of the best $10 wines I have bought.

I just picked up a bottle of Hungarian red wine 2004 Bulls Blood of Eger - Egri Bikaver. It's nice full-bodied wine matured in oak barrels. When ready to serve - open one hour before and serve at room temperature.

Me too. Besides it stains your clothes really bad when you eat out and a little droplet falls on you...That sucks!!

So, yeah, I prefer the Chardonnay's myself too. They are real cheap at most restuarants and bars too (particularly during the Happy Hour times in my town).

Don't care for the Aussie whites, but will try the Merlot.

Thanks, gr8!
