Some info from the Kids with Food Allergy Foundation. Our oldest son (now 8) is allergic to dairy (casein), egg, peanut and most tree nuts. We take food drops 3x day and see a specailist at Allergy Associates of La Crosse, WI every 6 months for testing and analysis of results. We have seen some improvements....Ig4 levels are up (measures amount of tolerance he is building up to those allergens) and his IgE is coming down slowly in most things. Peanuts was up over 200 two years ago....now at 64. He is not allergic to peanut dust. For those parents with kids with food allergies, I would recommend getting the talking epi-pen....

Our school our oldest attends is peanut safe....the table he sits at other can sit there if they did not bring in peanut butter or other peanut products. But peanut butter can be brought in for lunch, they just cant sit at his table. His classroom (third grade) is peanut free....treats brought in for birthdays must be peanut free. We have always had great communication with the school district nurse, teachers and administration. That is a huge key.
