Sheena, magic indeed, short of a miracle for me and my overall health. So so happy for you and thanks for your testimony. I've talked grape seed ex since I arrived here and many do not listen, their loss. Glad you took action.

One thing I want to mention about yogurt, there are ones made of coconut milk and almond milk and so these are non cow dairy and make a great difference too re: mucus. Kite Hill yogurt made with almond milk is one I just found, it's so good.

Also, there are 100's of sites devoted to grape seed ex, from hospitals, cancer research, doctors and companies that sell it. This site is one of my favorites:

Just thinking back and to a friend I had who had the worst mucus issue, just awful. I won't go into some of the gorie (sp) details, but she was a dairy milk drinker and I tried to get her off it, but to no avail. She took grape seed ex now and then, but if I supplied her with it, she would have taken it every day. She ate cheese a lot too. Much of the world is addicted to cheese and I'm off it NOW... I do like goat milk cheese when I eat it.

I noticed in the site you listed that the capsule containing the grape seed extract is made of pine bark. I am allergic to pine. Sigh...

I haven't heard of this, but now I'm intrigued...I can't swallow pills, so is there a powder or liquid form? My dad has always had this issue, constant nose-blowing, sniffing, sneezing, throat-clearing...all very loud, where I can't even stand being around him for long. I'm not sure if this would help with all of that, but I'd like to mention it. Of course, he usually doesn't listen to me anyway. :/

Well, my dad took grape seed extract one day, and said it didn't work. Some minds are just NOT going to be opened. There are liquids I believe and there are very small tablets of grape seed ex from Source Naturals. Easy easy to swallow. I have no trouble swallowing. I take MOSTLY capsules which are pretty small. Out of the blue one year, I developed horrible PND. Took me awhile to figure it out, but it ended up being artificial fragrances (candles, potpourri, perfumes, etc.). One day I'm fine with them, the next day I'm not. I guess my body hit a threshold. It would be so bad I couldn't sleep.

Anyway, I eliminated fragrances from our house and bodies, and eventually the PND got better. However, I've noticed that anything sweet (sugars) before bed will cause it, too. Sometimes things outside will do it. It bothers me most at night when I wake with a full throat and watery eyes. What works for me is Thayer's Slippery Elm lozenges (first bought at a health food store, now I get from amazon). I used them once for something else one night (scratchy throat, I guess) and noticed it would make PND stop so I could go back to sleep. I keep a bottle by the bed, and whenever I wake up with those symptoms, I chew one and let drizzle down my throat.

Slippery Elm soothes mucus membranes, google it. Worth a try.
