Exclamation what medicine can treat vertigo?

okay hi.

I feel I have vertigo because when I drove in my car I felt like the entire care was shifting like moving around and around from no where.

when I decided to lay down my head I felt like I had been spinning myself around and around and I felt sick.

my ears are always ringing and I always feel dizzy and sick in that kind of way I have already tried treating the problem and it could be that I have a inner ear desruption with the earth.

can someone tell what should I do???

sounds ghastly. My mom experienced it years back and said it lasted quite awhile. She was told to take anitihistamines. She already suffers tiinnitus (ringing in ears) so the vertigo was a double whammy.
Nothing can be done for the ear ringing, regardless of what anyone will tell you otherwise. There is now a commercial on tv hawking a product that states it cures tinnitus--uh uh and the company should be sued.
Anyway..........I do hope you feel better soon but it may take a few days to a few weeks. Try Benadryl or whatever your choice of antihistamines would be.If you have any Phenergan on hand, you could take that for the nausea
You may want to schedule an appt with an ENT or your family doc if the symptoms continue, get even worse OR you just can't stand it any longer.
Good luck and update later.

I've had it since menopausal hormone changes. Flying on a plane fixed it once (the altitude changes) but it came back. You can go to a doctor and they can adjust your inner ear, but if it's chronic, there's no point in that. I've been taking alpha-lipoic acid daily, and that really keeps it under control, really minimizes. it. I don't know what alpha-lipoic acid has to do with it, just that our bodies make less of it as we get older. All I know is, this gets me the results I need. Give it a try. You can get some really cheap at Trader Joe's.

I have Meniere's disease which is an inner ear disorder that causes vertigo and tinnitus. I had tried every drug I could get my hands on to relieve the dizziness, but once the drug wore off the dizzy came back. About 2 years ago I discovered I have a gluten allergy and had to eliminate it from my diet. After a couple of weeks of no gluten the dizziness and ringing disappeared. What I think was happening was that the gluten was causing inflammation in my ears which caused the Meniere's. I have a friend who has a similar problem and she eliminated caffeine and her dizziness is gone. I still drink lots o coffee and it makes no difference to me.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that a lot of our medical problems come from what we eat or drink or by having other chemical sensitivities like to cleaning products and the like. If you want to try to cure the problem without the use of drugs you might want to experiment with an elimination diet. Try for 2 weeks eliminating certain things from your diet that are known triggers and see if that helps. In my case eliminating gluten did it. Now when I get sloppy with my eating habits a lot of my former ailments such as tinnitus, vertigo, headaches and joint pains come back. YMMV.

I have suffered with chronic vertigo for quite some years now. I have also discovered that I have become sensitive to things like breads, pastas, certain cleaning supplies and many other things. The conclusion that I have come to...?? At this point anyway...is that I am in need of a detox in my body. I am currently doing that. I am taking a product called IntraMax. I have other health issues as well...and am hoping to become completely healed. (chronic fatigue, adrenal fatigue, the vertigo, blah , blah, blah)

Hope this helps you somewhat!
