The first question - its basically kidney damage of some sort or another, either temporary or more problematic.

Default Protein in Urine

No kidney damage. Probably caused by Type 2 Diabetes. Was surprised because A1C levels always test normal.

Yes it can be caused by T2D - but it is kidney damage. Healthy kidneys do not allow any significant amount of protein through. While its not a separate treatment (ie you don't have to go get any renal treatment) it is, nevertheless, kidney damage.
