I have a friend who had a recurring boil on his back. Antibiotics and creams did nothing. He put a colloidal silver salve on it and it was gone in less than a week. I'm sure it was not MRSA, but there seem to be more and more bugs that are now resistant to the conventional antibiotics. The great thing about silver and manuka honey is that the bugs can't become resistant to it. Good luck.
I know this is an older thread, but FYI there have been several extensive and credible studies now showing Manuka Honey that’s certified with at least a UMF rating of 15 will kill MRSA along with C-diff and e-coli when applied topically.
You can google the various studies.
MRSA is quite common in/on the human body, usually residing in the nose and/or on the skin.
Most humans that are healthy, and not over-exposed to MRSA, usually keep levels down to a point where it causes no problems.
How is your immune-system, do you have regular exposure to areas accessed by large amounts of people, do you practice good hygiene, do you regularly wash/sanitize your hands after potential exposure to MRSA or other pathogens???
I've been getting these painful boils/cysts since November 2017. But it's on and off. When I take antibiotics they go away but come back a month later. I've been taking antibiotics on and off and I'm wondering if this is solving the problem if it comes back. I scheduled an appointment with a 2nd specialist so I will see what he says. I took 1 antibiotic yesterday but today I decided to stop and not taking anymore. I'm researching online for natural remedies to cure the MRSA. Maybe garlic supplements and Black Seed oil?
MRSA is a highly contagious staph infection. Somebody had to give you the MRSA bacteria for you to get the red bump. I don't think a boil which is your own can turn into MRSA. MRSA is deadly, and you should have been on a regimen of 2,000 mllgrms of Ceflaxin, [or some other broad spectrum anti-biotic] a day for seven days.
Stay away from the gym, and dont sit on the toilet seat!jmo
