I have had a Chronic Cough for years. I do have Asthma, Acid reflux and Allergies but the cough at night drives me insane. I have tried using the inhaler, cough drops, drinking water, propping myself up so I'm not laying flat on the bed, cough medicine (yuck) but nothing works.
Anybody find a natural fix for this kind of problem? Or at least to ease it a bit? Keeps me awake at night sometimes.
Have you ever taken Sambucol? I've known about it for decades but don't take it as I don't have the cough issue. I may have taken some many yrs ago but not now.

Maybe there's a trigger in the room itself. Based on what you said your respiratory system is already easily irritated. Do you filter the air in the bedroom? Does it help to vacuum and dust more often to keep the room cleaner? What about using hypoallergenic laundry soap for bedding and rinsing it an extra time? If you sleep somewhere else does that change anything?

I have moved and in a new place and it did not change my coughing. I did try (at my old place) to vacuum more often and dust but that didn't help either.
Maybe it's just something I have to live with. LOL

I really like Sambucol to help fight off colds, but haven't noticed it improves a cough much. Worth a try, but it might not be a good idea to use a lot of it every day (just like so many other things....not intended for that).
If you have a chronic cough, you should see a doctor. And the acid reflux is not good for your esophagus.
Yup, I have been to the doctor several times.
Thanks
