I just wondered if this happened to anyone?/

I know herpes whitlow can travel into damaged dry skin..Which I tend to have...I really want to go to a massage but I have no idea what to ask for to avoid their skin touching mine.

Herpetic Whitlow in Adults: Condition, Treatment and Pictures - Overview - VisualDxHealth®

"Eczema and herpes indeed can interact. Eczema makes it more likely that an otherewise limited herpes eruption will be more widespread, involving both the eczematous areas and elsewhere (eczema herpeticum). Now that I think about it, having said that hand-to-genital transmission of HSV (or other STDs) is very rare to nonexistant, this might be a situation in which it might happen. However, eczema herpeticum is rare, and if your partner had it, she probably would have been overtly ill with really painful eczema--and not likely to be sexually active. From your description, there is no particular reason to suspect your partner has HSV, let along eczema herpeticum."

A friend rubbing your back and deep tissue massage from some one that knows what they are doing is two different worlds...That is what I am doing with the s.o. right now..He sucks at back rubs.lol

I just need one of those change of seasons deep tissue massages. God I hate looking for massage people. Locally here some perv was just busted for feeling up customers. I don't know how they let him leave the room with his sack still attached. YUK...

Licensed massage therapists are NOT masseuses or masseurs.

If you're afraid of "catching something" from your massage therapist, then don't get a massage.

I didn't ask to get a massage or not. I asked if there was a method that has a non-skin to skin approach and if this ever happened to anyone.

This reminds me of the "tractor story" from Seinfeld.

In any case, as long as you avoid the "Happy Ending" to your massage, you'll likely be just as safe as you are shaking hands in church or sitting on a public toilet seat (or a tractor).
