Hi everyone,

A few days ago, the Dutch Caribbean territory of the Netherlands Antilles ceased to exist legally. Three of the islands were annexed to the Netherlands directly as "special municipalities" though they remain outside of the European Union proper for the time being.

The remaining two areas: Curaçao and Sint-Maarten, which Holland shares with France, became countries within the Kingdom, a status Aruba obtained in 1986.

I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about the future of the .an domain name, the ccTLD for the Netherlands Antilles, and what, if any proposals are for an ISO code and ccTLD for the new Curaçao and Sint-Maarten, states. As the BES islands, will be a direct part of the Netherlands, one can assume, they will use .nl, along with the rest of the country.

Just wondering. I've heard NOTHING on this issue, and I've even asked at a forum dedicated to ccTLDs, but they mostly specialize in the buying and selling of them, but haven't heard there either.

The problem for CURACAO is nearly every code is in use CU CR CA CC CO. So they must have a lot of phantasia to find a Code. Like AN for Antillen Nederlandse *hiHI*

Dear Larry
Being a Bonairean by birth, I have been talking to the ISO administration office, but up to end of September they did not hear for the executives involved.

If I hear something now after my vacation, will contact you again
Regards
The Stallion
