Greetings,

I am interested in spanish language schools in 1. Cali, Colombia, 2. Montevido, Uruguay, and 3. any country in south america.

I can also explain that if you are interested in Buenos Aires, IBL is a great school, and has honest contacts for finding housing e.g. like your own apartment. Their teachers are professional and very helpful. I attended another school in BA that was the complete opposite. I can send anyone that school's name in a direct message. I'd prefer that this thread focus on the great schools with a bit of information explaining why the school is good, great, or incredible (increible en espanol)!

Chau!

CarolVa1977, thanks for the response. Tons of people like the Colombian accept. We discussed accents a lot in the citi-data forum called ""Best Safe South American Country to learn Spanish" at the following link. bit.ly/8Y1MV2

I hope that in this thread people will share the names of specific schools to help the rest of us narrow down which school.

Chava61, I have heard great things about Ecuador. I was thinking about it but the political drama recently made me postpone that trip.

Also, here is an example of the school advice post:
I enjoyed learning Spanish at IBL in Buenos Aires because the teachers were patient, friendly, and taught practical Spanish. The staff helped me find a great apartment near by at a reasonable price. And the neighborhood was close to a metro. They also attracted another adult which made me feel more comfortable than the other schools full of 17-22 year olds. fyi, if you are in this age range, IBL still has plenty of young students.

I went to Expanish in BsAs. It was ok. I spent 3 months there, but the school is disorganized. The price was around the same as the others, and it is located near Florida St. too.

I found Montevido, Uruguay to be like a smaller version of BsAs.

I heard great reviews of ECELA, and they have schools in Peru, Chile, and Argentina.

If I were to go to another school, I would go to Ecuador or Colombia.
