If there is an adjective that it's impossible to be applied to Fortaleza, it's the adjective "boring". If someone thinks that Fortaleza is "boring", the problem is inside this person. Fortaleza has tons of fun, tons of interesting places and things to do. Thousands of options. It's even difficult to choose sometimes.

When I was in Fortaleza, the bus drivers were on strike, so that was a bit of a bummer. Recife was OK, but actually, I spent more time in Belem than any of them, and grew to quite like it.

Yes, the bus drivers often go on strike in Fortaleza, their union is very "active". Almost every year they go on strike, but it only lasts for one week or so...

I talked about the beach of Cumbuco in a previous post, located about 25 to 30 kilometeres west of Fortaleza...

Today I found a video of Cumbuco that is worth a thousand words:

The place is very beautiful!

If you watch the video after the mark of 3 minutes, you will see the most beautiful part of it: the big sand dunes that meet the lakes, the coconut trees and other vegetation, with the mountains in the background!

Watch it full screen!

Just viewed some photos of RECIFE/OLINDA....beautiful colonial architecture, for sure! Very impressive!

I'll have to look into Aquiraz as well. It's quite a bit smaller than Olinda, I'd imagine?
