Maybe research gay pride parades in the deserted isolated areas of the outback of Sertao first...as probably isn't relevant to the thread.

It's like California versus Louisana. Either San Fran or New Orleans is good, but I probably wouldn't recommend small town Louisiana (but I doubt small town Louisiana has large gay pride parades with international tourists coming from all around any more than the Sertao does).

Brazil's a real good choice. Tolerance here has increased a lot but, people still turn their eyes to this kind of pair. So, thinking about freedom of choices, I'd choose Spain but, only for it's "European way of thinking".

Never been to Spain but, in comparison with Brazil, we have more things to see, parties to go, and places to spend out money.

Serious advice: If both you choose Brazil, just don't walk out alone in the dead of night. There have been some attemptings against gays, especially in downtown.

Go to Spain.
Yeah, maybe we want to hang out with you, because you're so attractive.

Thank you for the "attractive", but I prefer other things.

Default Winter in Brazil - go to Spain

As a general rule, I prefer summer to winter for my holidays. Although a Brazilian winter is probably not comparable to a proper one, you will still have shorter days.

Culturally my recommendation would also be Spain. Spain has a long history with many things to look at, such as Roman ruins or Moorish palaces.

Regarding parades and such, I cannot help you. I never understood their attraction, be it gay, nationalist/military or other ones.

Brazil by far, more affordable and the people are much more tolerant.
