Brazilian population DNA study (University of Brasília):

65,90% (European)
24,80% (African)
9,3% (Native American)

African heritage is higher than native in all regions, even in the north.

I completly disagree that the African heritage is higher than the indigenous in every state, for exemple there is a study that shows that north brazilians are on average 42 percent indigenous and 9 percent African.

This is study is completely biased and wrong.

Which "DNA" are they talking about?

All the studies of mithocondrial DNA show COMPLETELY DIFFERENT results, incompatible with these results.

Any attempt to determine the "ethnic origin" of "autosomal" DNA is always prone to many errors.

The haplogroups of mtDNA and Y-DNA are the only reliable method to associate the genetic heritage of a population to its ethnic ancestry.

I am sure that brazilians are on average way more indigenous than just 9,3 percent. Overall Brazil isnt like Cuba.

MtaDNA are biased. The new tests use the autosomnal methods as it better captures both male and female ancestries from both the maternal and paternal sides. The MtaDNA show a bias towrds the maternal ancestries, and so would over estimate the Amerindian ancestry.

All the methods to determine ethnic ancestry based on autosomal DNA are faulty, and should not be trusted.

Autosomal DNA is messy and tricky.

The results of those tests about the Brazilian people mentioned above are the biggest proof of how autosomal DNA can't be trusted. The results make no sense at all for anyone who knows Brazil's history, and make no sense to anyone who knows the phenotypes.

Dont you think that in a highly diverse nation like Brazil arguing over ancestry, as if there is an AVERAGE Brazilian is nonsensical.

Just go with the social definitions of race. In Brazil blacks and dark mulattos are barely differentiated from each other in terms of their social position. Brazil doesnt seem to leave too much social space for the Indigenous, in most regions, except as an embedded part of a mixed whole.

Anyone who visit the city of Belem, in the state of Para, and say that the population there has more African genetic heritage than indigenous genetic heritage, just because some autosomal DNA tests say so, will only cause good laughs. Because that makes no sense at all.

Autosomnal is more accurate than MtaDNA which only captures the maternal ancestry though. What about paternal?

At the end of the day NONE of these tests can be fully trusted, whcih is why I dont even know why people make such a huge deal. They are for indicative purposes only. At best a "guesstimate".
