as a white mexican i find this thread mildly offensive. mexican is a nationality, it is not an ethnicity. there are mexicans of all ethnicities. there are amerindian tribes all over the SW US. this is the first time i have heard of any of them considering themselves mexicans. mexico claimed their land for barely a few decades, and put little use to it.

No, only some Mexicans could be considered Native Americans (Aztecs/Mayan descendants). Most Mexicans are Mestizos and as mixed, they are descendants of both, Native Americans and Europeans, for the most part. A mixed person is not equivalent to a whole, just like gray doesn't equals white or black.
Keep in mind that a good chunk (maybe most?) of Mexicans that migrate to the US originate from some of the most Indigenous areas of Mexico (Southern Mexico to be exact), so don't be surprised if many Americans think Mexicans are Native Americans due to what they see through out the US. Heck, even Mexicans that visit the US as tourists are surprised how Indigenous the Mexican immigrants look, not quite representative of what most of Mexico looks like!

The majority of Native Americans in the US are mixed with European as well. It's hard to find a Native American who is truly 100%. My dad is from Oklahoma where there are many Native Americans, but most of the people I see who claim to be Native American look like they are at least 50% white. It's the same situation as in Mexico. But the Native Americans in the US still have pride, regardless if they have a lot of white blood
No, the native peoples of what is now incorrectly called Latin America spoke Greek (the world's oldest language), as they were descended from Alexander the Great.

You are entirely right, the all come from Macedonian lineage and are related with Cleopatra. One exception is the tribe known as "chaparros", they are quite short and they descend from Swedish lapos.

About 40 percent of the so-called Anglo population has some amount of Indian blood, and they look white. A large percentage of Anglos also have black blood in them. They are as mestizos as mestizo Mexicans, the only difference is that they don't speak Spanish and say Columbian.

It sounds as if they have major psychological issues when it comes to accepting themselves as mixed people and instead want to hide under a label that doesn't fully represents what they fully are.
They're not the only ones in the US that suffer from the anti-mixed mindset, though. They can't be blamed either, since the whole US racial system simply doesn't care for reality and in some twisted way, is bent on denying the existence of mixed race people of any kind. The psychological repulsion and denial towards the existence of mixed people (and confusing them into believing they're something they are not 100%) is one of the ugliest aspects of American culture, IMO.
In most countries, mixed people are seen as mixed with no qualms.
Mexicans (Aztec, Mayan etc) are Indigenous Tribes of Mexico, but NOT Native American/American Indian...
American Indians/Native American had some Asian origins, NOT Hispanic....I know because My Grandma was Sioux and Hopi...and she has been over and over and over her heritage and has done her geneology
Despite various "creation myths", most scientists believe that the ancestors of the indigenous peoples of Mexico and the continental United States migrated across the "Bering land bridge" from Asia during the last Ice Age approximately 20,000 years ago. Thus, while some of these "migrants" took divergent paths, their ancestors came from the same place. Some tribes, such as the Kickapoo, have communities in both the United States and Mexico. The only difference between these communities is that the folks that were born "north of the border" are considered to be "American Indians/Native Americans" while their brethren that were born "south of the border" are considered to be "Mexicans." Unfortunately, "American Indian/Native American" identity nowadays seems to boil down to access to money and resources.
