I think it is in a film about a Brazilian Journalist and his family. The mother and father are detained by the police and the son is sent to live with his grandfather and attends that school. It is a true story. I keep thinking it's Vlado Herzog but the title of the move was something different.

What are you interested in knowing about the school specifically. I am very familiar with it.

Aries- Apparently I am only able to send one direct message a day. I am not sure what information you are looking for. Are you interested in having a child study at the school? Are you interested in working there? Are you looking for just general information about the school?

Some general information. Escola Beit Yaacov calls itself an orthodox Jewish school. It also has a bi-lingual curriculum, and is an IB world school. At the current time it has a pre-school/nursery program up to grade 10 this year. As the school is still growing they have been adding one grade per year to accommodate the oldest age group. Fundamental I works to incorporated the PYP curriculum and there are options for High School students to work towards an IB diploma. The school hires a mix of foreigners and local Brazilians.

If you let me know what your specific questions are I can try to answer them.

You can only send one private message a day because you are new and still a junior member. Once you have made at least 10 posts, you will be classified a senior member--and will then be able to send more private messages.

What is its reputation in comparison to other international schools in Sao Paulo and Brazil?

(I guess these questions would apply for enrolling a child and/or for as potential place to work...)

If you are looking for a Jewish school with an English curriculum Beit is probably your best option, if it is at a religious level you are comfortable with. If you are just looking for an International School with an English curriculum and the religious part is not important to you there are schools with much better reputations. If you are planning on enrolling a child at the school and they do not speak Portuguese it would be incredibly difficult. You would want to look at a school that is more of an American or British style school (there are some in SP that have great reputations).

If you are thinking about working there I can answer more questions in a PM.

Did you move on to another international school? Are you still in Brazil? Why did you only stay two years?
