I've never lived in Curitiba, but I've visited there a couple of times. Curitiba has a pretty mild climate most of the year. You will need a sweater or jacket at times during the cool winter months (June-September) but the rest of the year is comfortable. Lots of rain in the summer.
Curitiba is known as having one of the best bus transit systems in the world, and you can get most anywhere in the city on the bus for a very reasonable cost and fairly quick. The bus system is for the most part safe and clean. They have a lot of dedicated express bus lines which work sort of like light rail, but no rails. The economy in Curitiba and the State of Parana is strong, one of the best in Brazil and South America. They have their share of problems, but it is still a good city to live in.

Thanks, recycled.
I have visited there as well--toured the city extensively.
I just would like some information from people (Expats+Brazilians) that have lived there for a while--and/or are contracted to live there for a decent amount of time.
I have never lived in Curitiba but live in Brazil. If I were looking for specific info about Curitiba i would go on gringoes.com and ask there. I know there are some members who live in an around Curitiba and are usually helpful.

I can give advice for living in Brasil, I spend a lot of time in Southern Brasil which Curtiba is part of, but not the city itself.
