You're not from USA either.. and unless you're a full blood native.. chances are you have Spanish blood.

Wow. It's a language. Language is communication. I could insist on speaking Norwegian or Icelandic. But what good would that do me unless I was surrounded by folks who spoke Norwegian or Icelandic? Insisting on not speaking the language that you are surrounded by seems a bit illogical to me. And insisting on speaking the language of your ancestors in a practical sense seems illogical as well. My ancestors spoke Norwegian. I can speak it a bit, but I certainly don't go around insisting on Norwegian.

Personally, I think I'd rather speak Spanish over English. It's a much more consistent language with far fewer grammatical exceptions to the basic patterns of the language. But that's just me; I look at language simply as a tool of communication and not as a political/social/cultural statement. I'll speak whatever I'm surrounded by, given the time to learn the language.

You can't get rid of your Spanish heritage. Its a part of who you are and people don't really have a choice with that.

Its your hair, your eyes, your skin, your brain, your lungs, everything. Every time you reject your Spanish heritage, you are, in effect, rejecting yourself. You are expressing self hate. You wish to be something you are not.

To put it another way, the only way you can get rid of your Spanish heritage is by getting rid of yourself. Not fun.

Learn to accept yourself. There's more to life than worrying about things you can't change.

You have a very serious identity and psychological issue that needs to be evaluated by a psychologist.

Self hate is just not healthy. GET HELP!

And stop writing, reading, thinking and speaking English, since this is definitely not your language. Stop pretending to be what you're not and stop hating what you are.

English too was spread through bloodshed. You so called defiance would make a little more sense if you spoke the original tongue

That's why a you're good evangelical boy? Is that your pathetic attempt at becoming a good wholesome whitebread American? What a sad excuse for a self-hating wimp you are.

This is a bittered thread let's see:

"Your" languages are dead yes... but nowadays your language IS Spanish, whether you like it or not, we Europeans can also say that our language is dead regarding to Latin/Germanic etc.

Try to learn your real language and see how many oportunities of working nowadays you have.
