Default traveling to Brazil alone?

hey guys

i'll be traveling to Brazil in the coming month. it's going to be my first time over there and i have to admit that i am quite excited at the prospect, but also a bit nervous. i'm a bit of a hypochondriac not that it's a laughing matter... but it's not exactly something to be ecstatic about and i have to take all kinds of precautions before traveling.
i've already booked at a hotel, but i've just have to make sure that there are the right medical facilities available in the surroundings. so i've been doing some research on the net for hospitals and doctors in that area .

Maybe the members from Brazil or who have been there before could give me some advice when it comes to health issues in Brazil? how to deal with any emergencies?

thanks people!

where in brasil are you going ?
have you had your yellow fever shot ?

I travel there to see my GF's family, in the state of sao paulo.
I took my yellow fever, meningities, hepititis A & B and typhoid shots before my first trip also maliria meds. all this is not necessary, just recommended.
