It makes a lot of sense as the "Non-Hispanic White" percentage of the total population will continue to shrink and they will need to boost the numbers up to make the White population seem larger than it really is.

I think only HR ever sees the actual EEOC form, and it's optional most of the time. I don't think the people who will actually be interviewing you ever see's your EEOC information

They are white. There's a difference between race and ethnicity.

How are we joking? You are not reading are you?

Those would be indigenous people, native to the Americas. Going by the source and what the picture shows, it is obvious you specifically chose this picture to make them look bad.

The distinction is widely believed, and the US Census form goes along with that notion. No reputable scientist believes that there is a distinction. There is actually no reliable way to classify the human population along racial lines.

Latinos are relatively unique in the world. The indigenous people who had been genetically separated for thousands of years since the Bering Strait opened heavily inbred with the Europeans. Then most of the pure indigenous people were wiped out through disease or oppression. The resulting group (particularly in Mexico) are among the most "mixed" people in the world.

It's funny this subject came up. I was just speaking with somone who is Mexican a few days ago and asked her if she considered herself to be White...She look at me like I had two heads and responded..."No?..I'm Mexican". I never met a mexican person who said they were White...ever.

Like I said before on another thread, many Mexican Americans who mark off White on identification sheets don't like to be called "White" in every day life. Especially if they're being called "White" by another minority group. It's sort of a double standard in a way but it does exist.

Before the creation of the Hispanic category around 1973 most Mexican-Americans were considered white. Not sure about other Latino groups.
