Russia annexing Crimea is the equivalent of the United States annexing southern Ontario. Important locally but otherwise that's it.

on the cheap of course!
You may not know about the history of Cuba but we have already annexed a part of cuban territory.
Guantanomo is a land that belong to Cuba.
We don't need to annex anymore foreign countries,
We already economically annexed most of the planet.

We're fighting communists yet we're doing business with China and Russia,so what' s the point having an embargo and sanctions on Cuba while our closest european allies are doing business with Cuba.

It is a waste of time just for political manipulation of a group of dying powerful Cubans.

Post #12. Basically, the US is catering to the desires of a strategically important voter block composed of rich ex-cubans who want their land back. It has nothing to do with what would be morally right or just, it's just electioneering.

Well over a century ago, we had an opportunity to buy Cuba, don't know the figure, but $10 million comes to mind, but the price was too steep for us at the time!

But the U.S. has far more ingenious ways of annexing countries, without lifting a finger!

True, but these days, the US isn't much interested in annexing any more countries or even parts of countries. We can barely manage what we have and the divisions within the current nation have only been growing. Not exactly the best situation for expansion.
