Who would you place as the most prolific national hero in the Americas? I would say Che and George Washington.

Probaly Simon Bolivar, the man that freed most of South America.
In the long run, El Che Guevara accomplished nothing but being a cool image for leftist and hipsters.

I think El Che Guevara tried to do too much, which I think ultimately contributed to his downfall. He even tried to liberate Central Africa.

In school they taught us that Simon Bolivar was our "libertador". He saved us from those evil Spaniards who stole all our gold.

According to my socialist father any of those socialists heroes. Our home had a big library full of socialist books including the Communist Manifesto.

Brigham Young had 56 children. I cannot imagine any other national historical eminence who could approach that number.
