Rio doenst even have resorts... not in the city. Of course if you're in a resort more than 100km away from the city you have to rent a car to leave it. But I was not talking about this kind of tourism. Santa Catarina is only interesting during brazilian summer.
I was thinking Rio, but everyone tells me I can't leave the resort if I go there. People say it's a big headache to venture out and party and try to steer me towards cities in Argentina and Chile and smaller Brazilian cities. So, what is the truth about Rio?
Why would you want to venture out and party on your Honeymoon?
When I think of partying, I think of getting drunk and socializing with others. When I think of Honeymoon, I think of trying to have the most romantic time possible SOLELY with your new wife/husband.
Chile would be a boring place to 'party', if that is one of your Honeymoon goals.
I believe they like to dance. There are lots of places to go out and dance, even with your wife in Rio.
About your friends I think they dont know anything about what theyre talking about. To trade for caribbean beaches, ok. But for Argentine or Chilean beaches?? Come on...
Like I told you if your wedding is going to be during brazilian summer, its ok to considere Santa Catarina beaches. There's a good eletronic music scene there, if you enjoy it. But if its during brazilian winter, forget it.
Yes, party was the wrong word. I meant having a few drinks and dancing with my fiance. I'm going to look into Florianapolis because of your advice. I appreciate it a lot
I think the people who are recommending Argentina don't understand that we want some type of beach culture lol.
The same wrong... way assault is much worse than deaths because deaths are very often linked to drugs or homicides of revenge. Tourists main concern is assault, unless he wanted to visit a slum in Rosario (in this case Rosario vs Medellin). I do not think is the case.

I'm partial to Chile...maybe for sentimental reasons, but Argentinas cool too.
Just don't tell my argentine wife!
