I would like to turn the previous question on its head. Instead of asking in which country in S.A. they like gringos, in which country you just really love to be there, regardless whether they like gringos there or not. It takes two to tango, so it is also fair to ask which country is the one that you are just dying to go to when you have some time? Life is too short for mediocrity so it makes sense to want to describe your experience there in superlatives.

Have you been to Jujuy, and Salta? Misiones Province was not bad, Steak dinners with wine and salad for $2.50.

As a person from Argentina, thank you. I would like to ask where you went. How were the locals? I have heard from friends that visited my country that some Argentines are *******s to tourists.

Hello! I am from Texas in the US. I visited Buenos Aires, and Mar del Plata.

The people were really nice to me, especially in Mar Del Plata the people were fantastic with me. As far as Buenos Aires they were ok, but that is understandable, Buenos Aires is a city the size of New york, and just like in New york the people are too busy to look or care about some random tourist.

I never had the chance to see Tucuman, Salta jujuy but that is a project for me. I also would like to see Neuquen, I don't know why but it calls me.

When I was living/working in Peru, I used to tease all the Peruvians that traveled to Chile that 'they were vacationing in Chile for the food Actually Peruvians consider Chilean food unworthy of consumption.

I was surprised how bland Chilean food was however, we did manage to find some nice restaurants in Chile and they have excellent fresh fruits and veggies not to mention some of the best wines in the world. About Chilean versus Peruvian Pisco....I have to vote Peruvian but Chilean Pisco Sour was not bad.
