Any expats have experience with this? Is it possible to travel to a different country with just a Chilean cedula? I know Chilean citizens can do that, but what if you have a different nationality. Im mostly curious because some countries in South America require reciprocity fees, while Brazil even requires getting a VISA, maybe you can bypass these restrictions with a Cedula

I don't know about every country, but to Brazil, you need more than the cedula and you must pay the rather expensive visa fee.

Peruvians can travel to these countries with a DNI (cedula) only: I assume this is also reciprocal.
Ecuador, Colombia y Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Brasil, Uruguay, Paraguay y Venezuela.
Estos son los nueve países a los que puedes viajar solo con DNI y sin pasaporte | Diario Correo

Peruvians can basically travel to most countries in the world without a visa, just a passport.
