Curious about how people in different parts of the Americas celebrate New Year's Eve/New Years.
Feel free to share what usually happens where you are from. Please include Country and Region/ Province/City/state.
Here is some of what is going on in my city...
Toronto, Canada
This is usually one of the more common city wide events.
Free concert and fireworks at Nathan Phillips Square.
Loads of private parties, events at night clubs, bars, banquet halls etc going on all over the city too.
Please note it is usually exceptionally cold ex negative temperatures so people need to dress VERY VERY VERY WARM... but still do spend hours outside going to this event.
Regardless of the temperatures this event is always packed.
There is a skating rink in the middle of this square so many people are there skating too.
This year it will be - 14 to - 20 degrees C on New Years Eve lol.
Going to Las Vegas to spend New Years with my parents and visit with some of my high school friends.
Nice! I am sure you wont be having to dress like this ....
LOL ... jealous ( to be honest on Sunday dressed like this she would be freezing her butt off anyways. Full length to the ankles would be more appropriate .

Probably won't need it in Las Vegas, but It could come in handy right now as I am up in the mountains skiing.
When we arrived it was in the high 20's during the day and around 7 degrees at night. ( Fahrenheit)
This week it has warmed up to the mid 50's and low 20's at night.... so not too cold.
Just came back from the beach. Weather was perfect - 80 degrees. Water calm and clear. I may spend a quiet night with friends or head to a party. Not sure yet.
Well, I chose a quiet night at home. Too much craziness goes on and I would rather not be on the road. It was nice to the beach time earlier though. Beach, bathe, bed.
