And if that's the majority answer, with a socialist sub with no inclination for reform, the world will reply

#GetMoneyOutOfBrazilNow

Don't get me wrong, this guy looks like a stooge. However, he's a stooge willing to do market reforms that Brasil sorely needs and he has a cabinet. Right or wrong, he's the one that the international finance markets are looking to. Cut off their support and it won't matter if you elected Superman. Brasil's just been through a tortuously long recession and a scandal of amazing scope. If the citizens hand control of the country back to the same team that stole all of the money, expect capital to flee and the small recovery that's begun will die.

Elect Him. Get the economy healing. Have him be the stooge for unpopular reforms (like pension reform) that need to be done. Make him the bad guy. He'll be very easy to get rid of...and Brasil will have an economic future. For this election...sow, don't reap.

What a shame for Brazil. Elected a monster like Jair Bolsonaro as president.

On the bright side, Bolsonaro was defeated in all 9 estates of the Northeast Region. I was never so proud of being from the Northeast of Brazil.

Shame for Brazil is the people from these 9 states who voted in mass for a corrupt and arrested former president.

This!

Bolsonaro wants Sergio Moro for the super ministry of justice! And he is already arranging tons of reforms that the Brazilians dreamed long time, so he is not only a stooge in markets hands but also for popular demands.

In Brazil nowadays a 17 years old murder only stay 3 years arrested… and bandits carrying rifle in Rio de Janeiro’s favelas can’t be slaughtered by police snipers only in case if they shot first...

With bolsonaro Brasil will become another Argentina with 100% inflation, 40% unemployment, he will triple the country's debt just like macri did in less than 2 years. The fool said he will move the embassy to Jerusalem, that will go well with all those middle-eastern countries that are importing billions of dollars worth of chickens, rice and sugar. I hope Bolivia gets the contract instead.

Bolivia today has become a net exporter of energy, fertilizers, coffee, soy, urea, quinoa, etc. Before they pretty much imported everything.

I'd have voted for Bolsonaro. I did not for Trump but JB is actually intelligent and Brazil has major issues. He is a traditionalist and a real man. He can face down criminals and restore order.
