The fifth most populous country in the planet will hold presidential elections in October of 2018.

Is the world even paying attention?

There is a risk that a VERY ignorant illiterate fascist called Jair Bolsonaro may win the elections, surfing on the fear of the population regarding crime rates.

Jair Bolsonaro is so dumb that he said in an interview that the platypus is an animal from the Amazon rainforest.

By the way, there will be 13 presidential candidates in this election.

The political campaigning officially begins the day after tomorrow, August 16.

Is Rousseff of Da Silva running again?

What alternatives are there to Jair Bolsonaro?

Lula da Silva is currently in jail, after a court confirmed his sentence to 11 years in prison on corruption charges, but he is still appealling to the higher courts. Even being jail, his party (PT) insists that he is the candidate, and will register his candidacy before the Electoral Justice tomorrow, August 15, the last day for registering. It is widelly believed that the Electoral Justice will reject his candidacy, and the real candidate of PT will be Fernando Haddad, former mayor of Sao Paulo.

Dilma Rousseff will run to Senate.

Other presidential candidates include Ciro Gomes, Geraldo Alckmin, Marina Silva, Henrique Meirelles, and some other candidates that have no real chances at all.

I think (and want) Geraldo Alckmim will win(center right wing) is the best for Brazil.

Bolsonaro is a dumb, much worse than Trump.

Thankfully, Brazilian presidential elections have a second round with the two most voted candidates in the first round (just like presidential elections in France)
