Victims of Brazilís dictatorship have responded with fury after far-right president Jair Bolsonaro ordered the countryís armed forces to commemorate the anniversary of a 1964 coup which unleashed 21 years of military rule.

Bolsonaro, a former army captain, has frequently praised the regime under which hundreds of people were killed or forcibly disappeared. But his instructions that the military should mark the coupís 55th anniversary this Sunday has prompted widespread fury.

That is the truth.
The comunist were terrorist who also killed many people, when the terrorists were eliminated the militaries gave back the power to the Brazilian civilians. They were not like left wing dictatorships crazy for stay forever in the power.

Thats because the military is only interested in maintaining the status quo. Much of Latin America suffers from economic dictatorships. As long as the elites keep their privileges and power, everything is ok.

As much as I dislike some of Bolsonaro’s views, I think he’s better than people like Maduro or Castro.

I don't see the point of having a military dictatorship, or any kind of dictatorship.
