I didn't know about the medieval tower history. I guess by the time they got to New Mexico they said "forget this castle crap, let's just build small churches out of mud."

The real issue here is american poor health, those resorts mainly host poor Americans, who are always obese, with hearth disease. when taken out of their environment, to a hot place, they just die, that why the State Department made the announcement that there is nothing weird about this deaths, they are just the normal occurrence of the business.

But Americans love a good conspiracy, specially one that makes them the victim. lol

This is true.
But in all seriousness, if the media is to be believed (another discussion altogether), then it seems at least some of these deaths were intentional - bleach in the drinking water for example. It's not preposterous to think that there could be a disgruntled person or two working in the hotels. It happens sometimes.

Suddenly they are coming out with the truth. The American media became a circus a long time ago. I wish it returns again to always reporting the truth or within proportion instead of increasing their profits. Th media should also be imparcial. Give people the real facts and let them reach their own conclusions.

NBC News - No, the Dominican Republic hasn't suddenly become more dangerous

bleach is used in drinking water all over the world even In NYC
100% of the water in NYC is treated with bleach.

The thing is in the tropics because the water is warmer, the smell of bleach can be perceived as strong.

this is an example of how ignorant Americans can be.
they completely fabricated an "attempted murder" with something 100% of the US towns do, put bleach on tap water.

the water in Louisiana for example has a very strong bleach content.

actually if you go to the tropics and the water DOES NOT smell like bleach, dont use it.

here is the brochure of NYC water and bleach.

I doubt this. But it doesn't mean they always lie. Most of the time they are very biased - they take a kernel of truth and they cover it in a bunch of biased nonsense. Biased. Lack of context. I don't believe a darn thing I hear from any news media, as a general rule.

That said, there are a couple supposedly impartial news sources still around, Reuters is one of them (reuters.com). That's where I go for news when I'm in the mood to read news (which isn't often.)

This very much depends on the quantity of bleach. You can add a drop of bleach to a Liter of water to disinfect it and you can safely drink it (this is a backcountry camping technique). But you can die from consuming undiluted bleach or consuming too much concentration.

So, regards to the discussion we're having, the crucial question is: what was the concentration of bleach in the water consumed by the two tourists who died?

you have to basically drink pure bleach to die, the chances that pure bleach was running on water pipes is just ridiculous.
and you wont just suddenly die ether, thats not how it happens.
the man that died in sosua was 400 pounds and was taking sexual enhancement drugs, he went there to pay for sex (the only reason someone will go to that town)
did the media mentioned that? no

The bigger issue is why are all of the autopsies inconclusive.

It's either incompetence or cover-ups or lack of wanting to put financial resources into the autopsies.
