Its about time that trading block got a free trade agreement.
They also booted Venezuela, the first country to be booted of any trading block in Latin America. They did a nice thing by letting them in, but a few years later they had no choice. LOL

Mercosul already had some free trade agreements with other Latin Americans countries, Israel and India...
But Europe Union will really matter, not only because they are big market for export but also because European industry will force the brazilians industry drecrease prices domestically.

That’s just a draft. Nothing has been finalized and of course the EU has its own problems and internal opposite to the deal.

although farmers and some other European sectors are against as well as some business sectors in Brazil, parliaments should approve without major problems
I'm all for it...Colombia is an associate member of Mercosur, and between Mercosur and the Pacific Alliance, getting a visa to live in much of Latin America is a breeze. It's not as seamless or unified as the EU is, but it's a good start.
Regions have to work together better and take advantage of regional talent and economic opportunities.

All EU Parliaments have to agree and if one says no it’s dead. There’s a lot of political instability in the European Union itself.
In fact with some of the problems we have there’s a good chance it might not get approved.
The EU has had free trade agreements with Chile and Mexico for years now. The "free trade" agreement is really a waste and ends up as a one sided agreement in favor of the EU. After Mexico and Chile signed a free trade agreement with the EU they ended up exporting less and buying a whole lot more from the EU.
Before any country signs a "free trade" agreements with the EU; the country must first develop and invest on their own industry and infrastructure to be successful and competitive and be on equal footing. We already have too many banana republics.

Europeans agrobusiness fear their south americans rivals. they are against this trade deal specially because of them, the negotiations spent '' only 20 years ''
All EU Parliaments have to agree and if one says no it’s dead. There’s a lot of political instability in the European Union itself.

Asian countries are growing and becoming more and more competitives. This free trade deal between EU-Mercosul is a soft step for both blocks become more competive because both are less competitive than east Asia and north America…
If Europe continue closed, you will become yourself in the future in another Mercosul… will lose much of the extra EU international market and will need high import taxes to protect europeans business forcing european people pay the bill.
The problem if we don't get this deal with EU we will need do it on the hard way with Asians and USA.
